September Update

Ben turned 6 months old this past Sunday. He is now a healthy 14 lb 8 oz which hasn't changed too much from a few weeks ago. He seems to be putting his effort into getting taller, as he is now 25 inches when all stretched out. He has excellent head control now and is working on his balance. A week or so ago we began feeding him solid foods. He has tried applesauce, peas, carrots, and bananas. The peas weren't a big hit. We'll try again later. Beth is trying to get him to say, "mama," and, "dada." He is growing so fast!

Beth's brother, Matt, is taking some graphic design courses so Beth is babysitting our niece, Juliet, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She is a week or so shy of one year old, and keeps Beth busy. There are many cute photos of Juliet and Ben. We'll try to post some of these if we get some time!

My work has encountered some financial difficulties lately. This is primarily a result of the economy's effect on the construction industry as we just haven't been able to secure the number and size of projects that we need to make a profit. Therefore, I most likely will need to get a new job by the start of 2012. I hope that there will be an opportunity to get a job in my desired field of electrical engineering. The good thing is that I have some time. I've already begun searching sites like careerbuilder.com and monster.com.
